TikTok is rolling out TikTok Notes, a competing service to Instagram, in some markets. The app is available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store in Canada and Australia, the company said.
The company said on X that the app's rollout is in the “early stages.” TikTok said the app is a “space dedicated to photo and text content.”

The company didn't say much about the app's features and functionality, other than the fact that users can log in with their existing TikTok accounts. Even the app's description on the App Store is pretty sparse on details.

Earlier this month, TechCrunch reported that the name of the Bytedance-owned Instagram competitor would likely be TikTok Notes.
Notably, TikTok already allows posting images and text. But the company wants to create a new space for these types of posts to compete with Meta's apps like Instagram and Threads.
