Browser company Arc, a web browser that aims for a clean user interface, has introduced a “Live Calendar” feature to help you avoid missing calls or being late to meetings. The feature rolled out on Mac yesterday and is available in the latest Arc update, version 1.47.1.
This new feature allows you to pin your Google Calendar to your favourites section for easy access at any time. Once you enable the 'Live Calendar' feature, you will see a countdown timer that will remind you just before the meeting starts and a 'Join' button that allows you to join the call with just one click. In the settings, you can choose how long you want the reminder to last.
Other updates released in the latest version of Arc include a cleaner command bar by removing the Shift+Enter icon that pops up after a search, and the ability to swipe to reopen tabs that you've accidentally closed. Additionally, the Arc Search app's picture-in-picture mode allows users to multitask, such as shopping online while watching a YouTube video.
Arc's parent company, The Browser Company, is on a mission to build an “internet computer” for its users, and Arc has recently introduced some useful features, including an AI agent that browses the web on your behalf and an AI-powered summarization tool.
The browser company raised $50 million in March at a valuation of $550 million.
