These judges will decide which company will win the coveted Disrupt Cup and a $100,000 prize. This year, we are pleased to announce that Navin Chaddha, Managing Partner at Mayfield Fund, will be joining the judging panel. He will “dig deep” into the startups' business plans, product development, and pitches.
Navin Chaddha is a prominent figure in the venture capital world, known for his strategic insight and track record. At Mayfield, Chaddha focuses the firm's Cognition as a Service (CaaS) and generative AI cognitive plumbing. This innovative approach emphasizes investing in the infrastructure that underpins AI-driven companies and technologies, leveraging Chaddha's extensive experience with paradigm shifts in the technology industry. His notable contributions include founding VXTreme, the precursor to Microsoft Windows Media, and investing in HashiCorp, an infrastructure leader for the cloud era.
Under Chaddha's leadership, Mayfield has launched eight funds in the U.S. and successfully launched over 80 companies. Throughout his venture capital career, Mayfield has invested in over 60 companies, 18 of which have gone public, including industry leaders such as Lyft, Poshmark and SolarCity. Additionally, 27 of his portfolio companies have been acquired, highlighting his ability to identify and develop high potential startups.
