Following Samsung's unveiling of new devices at Unpacked 2024, including the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6, as well as a new Galaxy Watch, Google on Wednesday announced that the devices will be introducing new features of its own across multiple apps.
The search giant is updating its Gemini app for Android to make it better suited for foldable devices by adding the ability to use Gemini in an overlay or split-screen interface, and you can launch Gemini by swiping the corner of the screen or by saying “Hey Google” (goodbye Google Assistant?).

A new version of the app for Samsung devices will let you ask questions about videos you're watching on YouTube, and these features will be available on new Galaxy foldable devices in the coming months.
Google unveiled its “Circle to Search” feature earlier this year in conjunction with Samsung's Galaxy S24 event. The company announced on Wednesday that it's expanding the feature's capabilities to support symbolic math solutions and barcode and QR code scanning. Google also announced that this new version of “Circle to Search” will be available on more devices later this year.

YouTube introduced its multi-view feature on Android smartphones and tablets in May, which allows users to watch up to four streams of YouTube TV simultaneously. The feature is also supported on the Galaxy Z Fold 6, allowing subscribers to choose a combination of football, news, weather and simultaneous sporting events.
Google unveiled Wear OS 5 with performance and battery life enhancements at its Google I/O developer conference earlier this year, and Samsung said on Wednesday that the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra will ship with Wear OS 5.
