X rolls out real-time search tool Radar to Premium+ subscribers

Amid increased competition from new entrants like Bluesky and Threads, X on Monday launched its “Radar” trend analysis tool aimed at providing subscribers with real-time insights into emerging trends and conversations on the platform. launched.

The tool, formerly known as Insights, was originally targeted at verified organizations (companies) and allowed marketers to track topics and trends on the app. By subscribing, marketers can perform keyword analysis, visualize trending activity, and filter conversations in real-time. In addition to tracking conversation volume over time, Radar can also track conversation velocity. Its features help marketers better understand trends in X and help them plan the best time to post to reach their desired audience.

Insights had the potential to replace the need for third-party trend tracking tools, but its price point ($1,000 per month, or $833.33 per month if paid annually) puts it out of reach for small businesses. It was.

X's trend analysis tool has been rebranded to Radar and will roll out to Premium+ subscribers starting Monday. This high-end subscription to X offers several additional features, including verified checkmarks, the ability to edit posts, and an ad-free experience, for $16 per month or $168 per year when you subscribe via the web.

The company said in a post on X that Radar was released as an initial version, with further updates planned. However, only select subscribers will have immediate access to Radar, X said.

Although it was officially announced on Monday, some had already spotted Radar's arrival earlier this month, teasing it as a more powerful search tool.

Users who had previously adopted the new Radar search feature commented that the search algorithm had improved significantly, but at least one user noted remaining issues, such as not being able to search back more than three days. did. Other improvements they suggested include adding filtering options and integration with X Pro, the desktop X app formerly known as Tweetdeck.
