Google Play expands the “verified” badge of the selected VPN app to make it easier for users to find trust services. Google posted on Tuesday's blog posting on the badge's app, giving priority to user privacy and safety.
The badge indicates that the developer of the app has complained of Play's safety and security guidelines, and has completed verification of mobile application security evaluation (MASA) level 2.
In addition, the VPN app requires at least 10,000 installations and 250 reviews for the verified badge. Also, this app is listed on Google Play for at least 90 days, and must meet the target API level requirements for Google Play apps.

Google says that the badge is useful for the apps that are outstanding in the apps and search results of a specific app. Tech Giant states that it has built a new surface on Google Play to introduce a verified VPN app.
“This new badge emphasizes apps that prioritize the privacy and safety of the user, make choices based on more information on the VPN app used by users, and build confidence in the app to be ultimately downloaded. Google writes on the blog post.
This change occurs because Google is working to introduce and identify safe apps in the market. Last May, the company introduced the “government” label in Google Play to show official state and federal apps.
