The thread is introducing enhanced metrics to help users better understand how their posts are performed and what content they find, the company announced Tuesday.
Users can now view more detailed information on the platform's Insights dashboard. Go to the Interactions section and you'll see engagement with likes, replies, quotes and reposts. The “Followers” section shows followers' growth through geographical data including top cities and countries, as well as demographic information such as age range and gender.
Additionally, users can see how post performance has changed through new charts designed to showcase content trends over 7-90 days.
People on Instagram and Facebook can recommend posting eligible threads, allowing threads to see where users encounter their content. They can see the percentage of views each app drove for posts.

According to the meta-owned platform, the update focuses on creators building their audience, increasing their presence and understanding what content resonates with their followers.
Movement occurs as threads grow rapidly. Recent data from Market Intelligence Provider's SisharWeb revealed that the platform is catching up to top competitor X from the perspective of mobile app users.
In June 2025, 115.1 million active users represented 127.8% growth from the previous year in Threads mobile apps for iOS and Android. Meanwhile, X reached 132 million active daily, with growth down 15.2% year-on-year.
