Instagram has begun to allow creators to connect multiple reels in the series, the meta-owned social network told TechCrunch exclusively. New features already available in Tiktok make it easier for viewers to chase and discover related content.
Now, if the creator tells the story in a series of videos or follow-ups, you can link them all together so that viewers don't have to scroll or search through different parts. For example, creators often instruct their followers to “come back to Part 2” or to check for updates. This new feature allows creators to organize related reels and make it easier for viewers to follow.
The new feature is great for linking different parts of the saga, but can also be used to group similar videos. For example, if the creator is doing a series in which he bakes bunches of autumn recipes, you can find them so that you can group them all together.

Creators can link reels when adding captions or by tapping the overflow menu on previously shared reels. Once the creator links a reel in a series, the user can use the new button at the bottom left of the reel to move to the next reel.
According to Instagram, the new feature is highly demanding, allowing for rich storytelling and can lead to longer clock times if the audience continues to engage longer. Social networks say it will also help transform casual audiences into followers.
The new feature isn't a major change, but it's a welcome addition for both creators and viewers as it makes it easier to find and follow content on the platform.
