Travelers at major European airports, including Heathrow, Brussels and Berlin, faced significant delays this weekend following Collins Aerospace, known as “cyber-related incidents.”
Collins Aerospace has been forced to return to manual check-in after an obvious cyberattack, according to the Guardian. According to data from Flightradar24, more than 130 Heathrow flights were delayed by more than 20 minutes at 11am on Sunday morning, with 13 flights cancelled on Saturday.
According to a post on Heathrow's social media account, “Work continues to resolve and recover from the Friday outage of Collins Aerospace Systems that affected check-in.
Heathrow, like other affected airports, recommends travelers arrive at least three hours before their long-distance flight departures.
