A solution aimed at making Bitcoin interoperable “EVM compatible” is being developed by Layer 1 blockchain Conflux Network. Thanks to this method, Conflux and the Bitcoin network will be able to exchange Bitcoin for inscription-based tokens. The testnet will be up and running by the end of March, and the mainnet is expected to launch in May. Conflux is well-known for its combination of proof-of-stake (PoS) and proof-of-work (PoW) technologies to establish network consensus. The new solution runs on top of the main chain to interact directly with Bitcoin. According to the creators, it will enable Ethereum-based contracts and charge gas fees in Bitcoin.
