Don Lemon announced Wednesday that his new talk show on X (formerly Twitter) has been canceled by Elon Musk. Lemon, a former CNN anchor, said Musk canceled his show hours after interviewing the billionaire on the show's first episode.
“Elon Musk has canceled a partnership with X that he announced as part of his pledge to amplify more diverse voices on his platform,” Lemon said. wrote in a statement. “A few hours after my interview with him on Friday, he informed me of his decision.”
Although the partnership with X was canceled, the Don Lemon Show continues. Musk's interview remains the show's premiere episode and will air on YouTube, Podcast Channel and X on March 18th. Lemon, who was fired last year from CNN after 13 years, said the episode was “just the first of many.”
In a statement released on X's business The company said that while Lemon's programming is “welcome to be shown” on X, the social network has decided not to enter into a commercial partnership with X.

In January, X announced two other original shows alongside Lemons. One was hosted by former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, and the other was hosted by former FOX Sports host Jim Rome.
