Adobe today announced Firefly Services, a set of more than 20 new generative and creative APIs, tools, and services. Firefly Services brings some of the AI-powered capabilities of Creative Cloud tools like Photoshop to enterprise developers, allowing them to accelerate content creation in custom workflows or create entirely new solutions. can.

Additionally, the company today also launched a custom model that allows businesses to tweak the Firefly model based on their assets. Custom models are already built into Adobe's new GenStudio.

Adobe describes the Firefly service as a “comprehensive set of generative AI and creative APIs that automate workflows.” This includes APIs to automatically remove backgrounds, smartly crop images, and level photos, as well as access to his AI-driven Photoshop core features like Generative Fill and Expand. I am. In addition to these AI capabilities, Firefly Services also exposes tools for editing text layers, tagging content, applying presets from Lightroom, and more.

“As consumer expectations for generative AI-powered personalization continue to rise, Firefly services and custom models unlock the potential for brands to achieve powerful customization capabilities and greater control when defining automated processes. , it's the first of its kind,” he said. As with most of Adobe's enterprise-centric generative AI use cases, these new tools are all aimed at helping brands speed up their content creation workflows. However, while many companies want to use generative AI, they are also concerned about brand safety, which prevents many companies from deploying these tools in production. From the beginning, Adobe has positioned Firefly as a brand-safe alternative to other models, and this new set of services continues that tradition.

“Rising customer experience expectations are forcing brands to rethink how they create and personalize marketing content at scale,” said Billy Seabrook, Global Chief Design Officer, IBM Consulting. I am. “Adobe applications have been instrumental in our creative process, but Firefly allows us to quickly generate images and templates in a variety of styles and sizes to match our brand standards and reach more people. can participate in the creative process.
