Threads is introducing a new way to reshare photos and videos on social networks. Instead of posting a quote on the original post and then adding a comment, Threads users can simply reshare the photo or video directly into a new post by clicking on the new option “Use Media” and add their own post there. You will be able to add. Sentence. However, the image or video credit remains with the original poster.
The feature was announced Wednesday by Instagram head Adam Mosseri in a thread. He said the new option will be a “quick and easy way to add creative elements to trending images.”

Posts from Threads accounts also indicate that the original poster's attribution appears in the top left of the image.
To access the Use Media option, long press on the media published in the thread or tap the repost button. This will appear as a new option in the pop-up window under “Repost” and “Cite.”

If you haven't seen this feature yet, you should see it soon. Mosseri's post says it will be rolled out to the Threads user base. He did not describe the feature as something the company is testing, but said it welcomes feedback from users.
However, not everyone reacted positively to this introduction, with some creators replying to Mosseri's post asking if this setting could be turned off. These users note that not all creators want to reshare images in this way, especially when it is possible for others to gain traffic and attention to their work without any effort. I pointed out that this is because of their gender.
The Threads account responded to these inquiries, pointing out that users can turn off media reuse in the app's settings. The company says users can also use quote posting controls to decide who can reuse the media they share.
Updated after publication to include more information about feature settings/controls.
