On Monday at Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 25), Tech Giant announced its upcoming software overhaul of the Apple Watch, the Watchos 26. The Watchos 26 will be launched with a redesigned interface based on Apple's new liquid glass operating system, wristflick gestures, and new Apple Intelligence-driven training buddy fitness features.
The redesigned interface is because Apple is trying to integrate the look and feel of the software across all devices.
You can use the new listflick gesture to reject notifications you want to deal with later. You can also use a wrist flick to mute incoming calls and silence timers and alarms.

Meanwhile, the new “Training Buddy” is built with Apple Intelligence and is designed to motivate you based on the history of fitness. Collect data from your workouts and analyze this data to identify meaningful insights in real time. It provides you with encouragement, and the new text-to-speed model transforms that encouragement into a dynamic, generative voice.
The training app is also updated, making it easy to access what you need. As soon as you start running, the training buddy kicks things off with a pep talk.
Apple is also bringing the Notes app to the Apple Watch. This is great if you want to save a simple note to yourself or view existing notes.
With Watchos 26, your Apple Watch can also intercept the ambient noise in your environment and automatically adjust the amount of incoming calls and notifications.
The Apple Watch also has access to messaging features that appear on iPhones such as the Watchos 26, such as Live Translation.
