Arc Search, a new app from The Browser Company, introduces a way for users to get faster answers on the go using voice. Call Arc, an AI-powered feature, essentially works by asking users to make a quick phone call and get answers to their questions.
Arc Search already offers voice search, but this new feature is designed to be a fun way for people to get quick answers on the go. The company says Call Arc helps answer quick, quick questions.
To access the feature, open the app, hold the phone to your ear and start asking a question, and the app will immediately work to provide you with a voice response.
The company says Call Arc is a new form of voice search that gets you answers faster than typing, while being as easy to use as picking up the phone and calling a friend.

Let's say you're preparing dinner and have some questions about how to prepare the ingredients. You can ask questions like, “How long should I boil spaghetti?” The app gives you the answer, so you can ask another question, like “Why do I need to save the pasta water?”
You can continue to chat with the AI while making dinner and ask any questions that arise along the way. While listening to the answers, the user sees an animated smiley face on the screen and verbalizes the spoken answer to the question.
The browser company launched Arc Search in January, giving users a dedicated app to answer their queries. The app has a “Browse for me” feature that provides well-structured web pages with information about your search query. This functionality is enabled by models such as OpenAI that read at least six web pages and build a new page with information for the user for each query.
In March, TechCrunch learned that The Browser Company had raised $50 million in a round led by Pace Capital at a valuation of $550 million.
