Airtime, the video startup for Evernote founder Phil Libin, has fired dozens of employees, TechCrunch has learned, and Airtime has confirmed. According to the company, 25 people have been let go of the 58-person team. This is the broadcast time for a change called “larger than normal.” Airtime characterizes the departure as part of a typical seasonal approach to employment, but sources within the company said staff were surprised by the announcement. Journaling app Rosebud has raised $6 million in seed funding as he is trying to flesh out the app as an AI mentor for self-reflection and personal growth. Rosebud uses AI to analyze journal entries, identify patterns over time, and provide insights, questions, and guidance. The company says its goal is to help users understand themselves better, develop new habits and track their goals, as does human mentors. Uber today unveiled a new type of account called Senior Accounts for older users who prioritize simpler app experiences, such as family ride updates, saved destinations and the ability to use family cards for payments. Uber said the senior accounts present a simpler app experience with larger text and icons and less complicated screens. A few days before the Worldwide Developer Conference 2025 (WWDC), Apple was named a 2025 Design Award winner and finalist. This year's winners and finalists mainly include indie apps and startups, and generative AI apps are significantly missing from the list, despite all other trends. This is the second year Apple skipped AI-centric apps for awards. HR Tech Startup Deel filed an amended complaint on Tuesday in its ongoing legal battle with the ripples of the Great Environment, which provides astounding new details about the spy allegations of its large corporations. Ripling sued Deal in March after Ripling's employees testified in an Irish court that they were spying on their employers for their rivals in an affidavit that reads like a Hollywood movie. Rippling's lawsuit alleges misappropriation, such as trade secrets, unlawful interference and unfair competition, primarily based on espionage allegations. Chipmaker Giant Qualcomm released a patch on Monday that fixes a series of vulnerabilities in dozens of chips, including three zero-days the company said is being used as part of its hacking campaign. Qualcomm cited Google's threat analysis group, or TAG. It investigates government-sponsored cyberattacks and says that three flaws could be “under limited, targeted exploitation.” According to the company's bulletin, Google's Android security team reported three zero-days to Qualcomm in February: CVE-2025-21479, CVE-2025-21480 and CVE-2025-27038. Zero Day is a security vulnerability unknown to software and hardware manufacturers at the time of discovery, and is of great value for cybercriminals…
