According to a report on Github, Claude Code's auto-update function contained bug-like commands that made several workstations unstable and corrupted. The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) is investigating startup scale AI that labels data to comply with the Fair Labor Standards Act, TechCrunch has learned. This is a federal law that regulates unpaid wages, misclassification of employees as contractors, and illegal retaliation against workers. The US-based independent cybersecurity journalist refused to comply with the UK court order injunction sought after reports of a recent cyberattack at UK private health giant HCRG. Pincent Mason, a law firm that served as a February 28th court order on HCRG, requested that two articles be “delete” referencing ransomware attacks against HCRG. Shield AI, a San Diego defense technology startup that builds military systems powered by drones and other AI, announced today that it has raised $240 million at a $5.3 billion valuation. The US Secret Service has teamed up with a coalition of international law enforcement agencies to remove and seize the website of Garantex, a Russian cryptocurrency exchange that has been accused of being associated with darknet markets and ransomware hackers. On Thursday, the official Garantex website was replaced by a notice that the exchange's domain was seized by the Secret Service following a warrant by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Virginia.
