Brave announced Wednesday that it is bringing its AI assistant, Leo, to iPhone and iPad users. You can use the AI assistant to ask questions, summarize pages, and create content. The iOS rollout follows the launch of AI Assistant on Android and desktop.
The release of Leo on iOS offers voice-to-text features not available on the Android version of the AI assistant. This feature allows users to say something out loud and convert it into text, eliminating the need to type queries or questions. Brave says this additional feature will make it easier to interact with his AI.
In addition to summarizing pages and videos, Leo can answer questions about the content he reads, write long-form reports, translate or rewrite pages, create transcriptions of video or audio content, and write code. . By providing access to a built-in AI assistant, Brave hopes users won't rely on her ChatGPT or other similar services.
Leo includes access to Mixtral 8x7B, Anthropic's Claude Instant, and Meta's Llama 2 13B. Brave has set Mixtral 8x7B as the default LLM for Leo, but users can choose a different LLM or upgrade to Leo Premium for higher rate limits for $14.99 per month.
Brave isn't the only browser company to announce an AI assistant. Opera launched an AI assistant called Aria last year. The product was built in collaboration with his OpenAI and features a chatbot-like interface where you can ask questions and receive instant answers.
Brave Leo for iOS is now available to all iOS users who have updated to version 1.63. To access Leo, open your browser and start typing in the address bar.[Ask Leo]Choose. Leo is an opt-in feature and can be disabled through the app's settings.
