Chemistry Ventures, a venture capital firm founded two years ago by Bessemer, Index Ventures and Andreessen Horowitz alumni, has raised $500 million for its second fund, according to an SEC filing.
Founded by Mark Goldberg, Ethan Kurzweil, and Kristina Shen, Chemistry was founded with $350 million in funding to invest in early-stage startups building developer tools, fintech, and infrastructure. Portfolio companies include Granola, Decagon, Persona, Serval, and Nova Intelligence.
Mr. Goldberg previously worked at Index Ventures, Mr. Kurzweil at Bessemer and Mr. Shen at a16z. The trio started the company to combine their experience working at large venture capital firms.
The Wall Street Journal reported that the second fund is already oversubscribed and fundraising is expected to close soon.
Chemistry did not respond to a request for comment.
