The Chinese AI company Deepseek has revised an exposed back -end database that has leaked confidential information such as user chat history and API key to the open Internet. The DeepSeek database is not protected by password, and anyone on the Internet can access more than 1 million encrypted logs.
CLOUD GIANT WIZ security researchers said they found an exposed database and warned DeepSeek. According to WIRED, Wiz researchers said that the exposed chat logs were Chinese but easily translated. It is not yet known whether someone other than Wiz has found a database before the database is fixed, or whether the database has been exposed for a long time. Deepseek did not respond to the comment request.
Misunderstanding databases are often caused by human -like errors, not for malicious intentions. Deepseek has gained popularity since its release in December.
