Do startups still need Silicon Valley? Check out 2025 Surpt

As the startup world descends on San Francisco, TechCrunch will disrupt 2025, which is taking place at Moscone West. With over 10,000 startups and VC leaders coming together due to the disruption of this milestone, conversations about access, geography and opportunity have become more timely than ever before.

On the builder stage, Anh-Tho Chuong (Lago), David Hall (Revolution) and Tawni Nazario-Cranz (Signalfire) lead the essential sessions for anyone looking to expand smartly in today's startup landscape.

Sign up now to save up to $668 before the 11:59pm deadline on September 26th.

Why this conversation is important now

As decentralized teams, regional hubs, and global funding become more normalized, founders are increasingly asking whether postcodes actually give them an advantage. Are you still open the right door to be in the Bay Area? Or was the arena finally leveled?

This session brings together startup veterans and veteran investors who have built and supported businesses across the country, building and far beyond. They will delve into what access looks like in 2025, how remote collaboration has evolved since the pandemic, and where there are real opportunities for emerging founders.

Who is filming the builder stage for this session?

Anh-Tho Chuong is rethinking open source billing with Lago, a YC-backed platform trusted by AI leaders such as Mistral. After scaling Qonto to her early roles in Weebly and McKinsey, she's not used to navigating the growth of the continent. David Hall has proven over the past decade that there is no need for game-changing companies to come out of Silicon Valley. As a managing partner at Revolution's Rest of the Rest Seed Fund, he helped build a portfolio across the country. Signalfire partner and former Waymo Chro Tawni Nazario-Cranz brings people's first perspective into organisational scaling. She helped pilot the company through rapid growth stages while shaping talent strategies that work far beyond the valley.

Edge's Discussion: Bay Area vs. Everywhere else

Whether you're building in a big city, a small town or somewhere in between, this session offers a fresh perspective on where the success of a startup actually comes from. No matter where you are, find out what is still important, what isn't important, and how to network.

The conversation will be caught live live on the Builder Stage of the 2025 TechCrunch Strupt, which takes place on October 27th-29th in Moscone West, San Francisco. Sign up now to save up to $668 before prices go up on September 26th.
