Google brings gemini to wear OS watches and adds AI modes to circles to search

Google announced Wednesday that it was rolling out Gemini to wear OS watches almost two months after teasing the move back in May. Tech Giant adds search capabilities to new circles by integrating the AI-mode search experience directly into the functionality and supporting game-related queries.

Gemini will be rolling out to Pixel, Samsung, Oppo, OnePlus and Xiaomi watches that will be fitted with OS 4+ over the coming weeks, the company says. The announcement is part of Google's plan to replace Google Assistant with Gemini on all devices and platforms.

To start talking to Gemini, users need to say “Hey Google.” Press and hold the side button on your Watch or tap the Gemini app icon on the watch screen.

Users can ask Gemini questions such as “How much should I roast the sliced vegetables and what temperature should I roast?” When you're busy cooking with messy hands. Alternatively, users can ask, “Do you need an umbrella today?” When you leave the door.

Additionally, users can use Gemini to complete tasks across multiple apps. For example, users could ask Gemini to “summarize my last email from Emily” or “add my son's next five baseball games to my calendar.”

Google says users can ask Gemini to remember important details such as “remember you parked at Level 4” and “reminds you to go shopping for grocery after work.”

Regarding the ability to search for new circles, Google says it's making it easier to explore information and get quick help. Launched last year, Circle to Search allows users to cycle, highlight, doodle, or tap what appears on their screen to start a Google search.

Now users can use AI mode advanced inference to dig into complex topics and ask follow-up questions all without switching apps.

After you search through Circle and start your search, an AI summary will be displayed in the results. From there, users can scroll to the bottom and tap “Diving deep in AI Mode” to ask follow-up questions and explore more about visual searches.

The company also makes it easy to use AI modes with Google lenses. This is because it is now available from the Google app on both Android and iOS. This feature is now available in the US and India.

Furthermore, according to Google, users can now search when playing games on mobile using Circle. For example, you can use Circle to search to identify new characters, or find victory strategies when playing the game.

Google has also announced that its AI overview will be more useful. This is because the answers are better formatted and easier to read. Tech Giant points out that AI overviews have broken down important information and now include more visuals.

Finally, Google has announced that Pixel 9 Pro owners will get their company's Google AI Pro subscription for free. This includes access to VEO 3. This allows you to explain your ideas and generate short videos using natural audio.
