On Wednesday, Google announced that it will bring a number of new features to its Android ecosystem and Pixel devices. Tech Giant introduces the Pixel Phone with Material 3 expressive materials, adaptive audio for the Pixel Buds Pro 2, writing navigation for the Pixel Watch, Gboard's new AI lighting tool, enhanced audio sharing capabilities, and the ability to create custom Android bots.
Starting Wednesday, Material 3 Expressive will be available on the Pixel 6 and new devices, as well as the Pixel tablet. According to Google, Material 3 Expressive will make the pixel feel even more personal, as it allows you to use live effects to add animations to your lock screen wallpaper and create customized call cards for your contacts.

Later this month, Google brings Adaptive Audio to the Pixel Buds Pro 2, allowing the buds to adapt to their surroundings, allowing them to continue their attention as they listen to music. Additionally, when you are in a larger environment, you can use buds to discuss clearly with Gemini. You can also nod or shake your head to accept or reject an incoming call.
Additionally, Pixel Watch users can now start walking or cycling navigation on their phones on Google Maps and automatically display them on their smartwatches.
For Gboard's new AI writing tools, you can revise the tone to make it more formal, expressive, or concise. You can also quickly modify spelling and grammar. Google means that all proofing and rewriting takes place on the device, so the data remains private.

Google has also announced that you and others can listen at the same time so that two LE audio Bluetooth headphones can be paired to your Android phone. Audio Sharing allows you to listen to songs at the same time or watch movies together using your own headphones. The high-tech giant says the feature could be useful in a few different examples, such as when you're on a busy cafe or on a train.
Additionally, QR codes can be shared with groups by launching a private broadcast that others can participate. This feature allows multiple people to listen to the same playlist using their headphones. Google says it can be used to host silent discos and more.

Google highlighted that Android's redesigned quick sharing feature makes content easier to share and receive, allowing you to send and receive, preview photos before sharing, and open received files immediately. Additionally, there are new progress metrics that show live updates on which percentage of files have been transferred.

Finally, Google announced that it will be introducing Androidify. This is how you can build your own Android bot by uploading selfies and writing prompts. Androidify uses Gemini 2.5 Flash to caption photos and images to generate custom Android bots. In some cases, you can animate your bots using Google's latest video generation model, Veo 3.
