Google is introducing a new feature to help you find the cheapest flight tickets for your next trip. The company announced Wednesday that it is adding a new “Cheapest” tab to Google Flights.
Until now, Google has displayed what it considers the “best” options at the top of results, based on both price and convenience. However, some people may be willing to sacrifice convenience to save money.
Click on the Lowest Price tab to see the lowest price available. For example, you may see a link to a third-party booking site that offers lower prices than the airline itself. Alternatively, you may be presented with the option to save money by returning to another airport in the same city you departed from, such as departing from New York's LaGuardia Airport and returning to JFK Airport.

Google says some of the options under the new tab are more “creative,” including longer layovers, self-transfers where you book two connecting flights yourself, and multiple airlines. It says these include the option to purchase different legs of a trip through a company or airline. Reservation site.
The company says this feature is for when cost is more important than convenience, and this tab lets you see the lowest price available and decide which trade-off to choose. It is said to become.
The new tab will be rolled out globally over the next two weeks.
