Artificial intelligence will not only change the way we work, but also the way we move. At TechCrunch Disrupt 2025, taking place October 27-29 at Moscone West in San Francisco, two industry leaders at the forefront of AI-powered mobility, Sachin Kansal of Uber and Dave Ferguson of Nuro, will take to the AI stage to explore the future of intelligent transportation systems.
Together, Kansal and Ferguson will discuss the evolving relationship between AI and mobility: how predictive models and computer vision are improving road safety, why last-mile delivery is a proving ground for autonomy, and what it will take to scale AI-driven transportation.
As the transportation industry rapidly evolves, this session provides an exclusive insider perspective on the future of mobility. Register now and save up to $444 on passes and up to 30% off on group passes.
At the helm of tomorrow: Meet the mobility pioneers
Sachin Kansal, chief product officer at Uber Technologies, oversees the company's global mobility and delivery products, including safety, sustainability and autonomous vehicle initiatives. He's helping define how AI and automation will impact Uber's next decade, from more efficient ride matching to the next generation logistics network. He oversees product and technology strategy for Uber's new initiatives in self-driving cars, sustainability, taxis, and Uber for teens.
Prior to joining Uber in 2017, he served as VP of Product at Lookout and Chief Product Officer at Flywheel Software. Earlier in his career, he led product management for the webOS mobile platform at Palm (acquired by HP). Sachin holds engineering degrees from Gujarat University and Stanford University and holds several patents in mobile and location technology.
Joining him is Dave Ferguson, co-founder and president of Nuro, a self-driving technology company that is pioneering scalable autonomous driving for robotaxis, commercial vehicles, and private vehicles. Ferguson's experience spans Google's early self-driving program (now Waymo) and Carnegie Mellon University's DARPA Urban Challenge winning team, giving him valuable perspective on how robotics research can lead to breakthroughs in real-world transportation.
A leading expert in robotics and AI, Mr. Ferguson has published more than 60 papers, holds more than 100 patents, and holds master's and doctoral degrees in robotics from Carnegie Mellon University.
