Meta X rival Threads today announced several new features, including the ability to save multiple drafts, a way to reorder columns on desktop, and insights into users' audiences. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg also mentioned that the company plans to add a posting schedule feature soon.
The company noted that these new features mark the one-year anniversary of Threads' web launch in August 2023.
Threads began testing drafts in February this year and rolled them out to all users a few weeks later in March. Currently, the platform allows users to save multiple drafts, with a limit of 100 drafts per account.

Meta is also rolling out a new user insights screen that shows the age, gender, and location of people who view and interact with your posts, along with the total number of views and interactions on your posts, broken down by followers and non-followers.
The company introduced a Tweetdeck-like multi-column view on desktop in May, allowing users to pin searches, liked posts, activity, saved posts, profile pages and insights. Now, the company lets users sort these columns in different orders, although it doesn't allow users to move the “For You” column from its default position as the first column on the left.
The Insights screen and column sorting functionality have been rolling out to some users over the past few weeks.

Threads is also testing a multi-feed experience on iOS with some users, but hasn't said whether users will be able to reorder their feeds.
Earlier this month, Threads surpassed the milestone of 200 million monthly active users, about 13 months after its initial release. By comparison, Threads' biggest rival, X (formerly Twitter), had more than 600 million monthly users as of May, according to Elon Musk. Another decentralized social network, Bluesky, hit the 5 million user milestone in February.
