Calling all early-stage founders: Are you ready? TechCrunch is recruiting 200 early-stage founders to appear in the Startup Battlefield 200 at TechCrunch Disrupt this October in San Francisco . Fast forward to 2022, and Startup Battlefield has expanded to include a showcase of the top 200 companies from around the world. With entrepreneurs from more than 35 countries, 25 industries, and diverse backgrounds, the Class of 2023 was even better than the first class.

The third year will be a year in which we will become even more competitive. If selected from thousands of applicants, this elite class of startups will receive full show access, exclusive workshops, investor office hours, mentorship, training, perks, and complimentary show floor exhibits throughout the three days. You can get space. All selected founders will have the opportunity to make a flash pitch in front of investors and TechCrunch editors.

Introducing global founders

We will select 20 companies from the Startup Battlefield 200 to participate in the Startup Battlefield competition. Finalists will receive private pitch coaching in preparation for pitching in front of an entire audience on Disrupt's main stage and being featured on TechCrunch. Needless to say, the founder pitches in front of global Tier 1 venture companies such as Sequoia, Mayfield, and SOSV. The winner takes home $100,000 and the coveted Disrupt His Cup.

TechCrunch does not require any investment from contestants or winners. Application and participation are completely free.

The only way early-stage startups can exhibit at Disrupt is through the Startup Battlefield, and the only way to become a Startup Battlefield finalist is to be selected for the Startup Battlefield 200.

How to join TechCrunch Startup Battlefield 200

The process is simple. Please apply here. Once you have filled out the type form, you can continue with your application or wait until you receive an email from us with a full preview of your question. This allows you to complete the necessary tasks in one go.

Companies that fit our cohort profile should:

Become an early stage startup. Prepare products with minimum practicality. Represents any vertical direction. Represents any geography. Be a game changer in your industry. You'll either need to do it in-house or have the capital to scale upfront (depending on your industry).
