Peanuts, a social networking app for women, is releasing a new feature that allows users to track their pregnancies. The new Peanut Track tool leverages seven years of data from questions asked on social networks and uses AI to predict questions women have at different stages of pregnancy.
Founded in 2017, Peanut is an online community dedicated to connecting women at every stage of life, from adolescence to menopause. Now, the company offers women personalized and predictive guidance tailored to each stage of pregnancy.
Until now, Peanuts has focused on community and helping women connect with other women by sharing their experiences. With this new feature, Peanuts takes the first step towards a practical element of its service by allowing women to track their pregnancies individually.

“We've always been community-focused,” Peanuts CEO and founder Michelle Kennedy told TechCrunch. “But what if you don't actually want to engage with other people, you just want to be informed? What really matters is that other women have done the same thing we've been doing for the last seven years. It’s about giving them the content that you know they’re going to ask for because they asked for it.”
Peanut Track provides content about what to expect and what to consider regarding your health at this stage of your pregnancy. This app displays content written by gynecologists.
Additionally, users have access to all traditional indicators regarding pregnancy. For example, Peanut Track tells you whether your baby is currently the size of a peach or a pumpkin. Additionally, this feature will tell you what kind of symptoms you are experiencing.
Peanut Track stays true to Peanut's core mission of community as it also connects users with other women in the same stage of their pregnancy.

Peanuts is in a position to talk to its user base about what they want to see on the platform and work with them to realize their vision, Kennedy said.
Following Peanut Track, the company plans to launch Peanut Grow next year to help women predict the early stages of motherhood by tracking development and milestones.
“You can track feedings, poop, and all the other things you have to do when your newborn is born,” Kennedy explained. “But what about you? How are you doing? How are you feeling? That kind of tracking is really important, especially when you think about postpartum depression and loneliness and all the other factors. I think that's really important. Because we say, “Yes, we diagnose you as lonely,'' without offering a solution that “There are other women in the exact same situation as you, and this too will pass.'' “What's the point in telling someone that?” she said. Said.
Peanuts has raised $32 million in funding to date. The company raised $10 million in a funding round in August 2022, contributing to Peanut's return to profitability. Prior to that, the company closed a $12 million Series A in May 2020.
