Reddit today announced that it is releasing a suite of tools called Reddit Pro to help businesses grow their organic presence on the platform. The announcement comes as Reddit prepares for an initial public offering (IPO). With this new suite of free tools, Reddit is likely looking to add more brands to the platform and possibly turn them into paid advertisers. The launch marks the first time Reddit has offered free tools to help businesses with their social strategies.
Reddit Pro is currently in beta testing and will give businesses access to an interface with several different tools. The suite of tools features AI-powered insights that surface trending topics and conversations related to a specific brand, allowing brands to see when they're mentioned in a subreddit. The purpose of Insights is to help businesses join the conversation and connect with new and existing audiences. This insight can also help inform how your brand appears on Reddit.
The suite also gives businesses access to publishing tools that help draft and schedule public posts. The company says the tool gives brands easy steps to start contributing to the community. Additionally, the suite comes with performance analysis features that help businesses analyze the performance of their organic posts to make better decisions about their strategies. Businesses will be able to track overall engagement and monthly progress in the Pro dashboard.
In addition to these tools, the company says businesses can expand the reach of their posts by turning them into paid ads without leaving the platform. To do this, businesses must click on the “Promote” button on one of their posts.
More than 200 companies have started using Reddit Pro, including Taco Bell, Wendy's, the NFL, The Wall Street Journal, Kate Somerville, and Atlas Headrest, according to Reddit. Early testing on Reddit found that brands using Reddit Pro generated 11 posts and comments per month and saw an average increase of +35% in monthly upvotes for organic content.

Reddit Pro is available to businesses and organizations on a first-come, first-served basis. The company plans to release additional Reddit Pro features this year, but has not provided details on what those will be.
