To enhance subscription services and attract more paid users, Snapchat is rolling out additional features for Snapchat+ subscribers. It is a social media company and has also added the option to send self-destructive snaps.
US Snapchat+ subscribers can now create and send custom stickers that are generated for your message. To do this, start typing in the chat bar and select the sticker search button. Here we have AI-generated stickers containing text.
It's worth noting that both Meta and Apple have launched similar features, so they are not the only companies that offer users the ability to create custom stickers with AI.
This new feature is based on another Snapchat+ product launched in 2023, allowing subscribers to create and send AI-generated images based on text prompts. By adding generated stickers to your custom AI, Snapchat offers paid users another way to use generated AI to liven up their chats.

The launch of this feature will take place two days after SNAP announced its research model from AI text to image on mobile devices, and will power app SNAPS, AI Bitmoji backgrounds and more in the coming months. . A spokesman for SNAP told TechCrunch that the new custom AI sticker feature does not currently have a new model. It is possible that the company will use the model to function at some point in the future.
When it comes to new self-destructive snaps, subscribers are accessing a new feature called “snap mode” and increasing the way they interact with their friends. To get started, SNAP mode allows users to send self-destructing snaps that disappear if they are not visible within a set time frame.
Snapchat plans to add more snap mode options in the future, but did not go into detail about what they would look like.

SNAP CEO Evan Spiegel said the company's “other revenue” unit (Snapchat+ subscription revenue) rose 131% year-on-year. The unit ended the year with an annual revenue occupancy rate well above $500 million.
