No, this isn't just asking Spotify to regurgitate, say, 2010s metalcore classics, but rather, “Please make me a list of songs because my dog is sad and loves the color purple.” Something like that. When prompted, Spotify will create a list of songs for you. I don't know yet how far I can push it, but I'll test the guardrails when I get a chance.
Spotify's AI efforts come amid other efforts to differentiate the service from rivals such as Apple Music and Amazon's services. The European tech giant has branched out into audiobooks, podcasting, and even edtech in recent years.

If, like me, you're not in the country where this feature was launched, it's unclear how long it will take to reach your hands. It's worth noting that some of his Spotify users have complained that new product rollouts may take longer than they would like to reach their home markets.
