Over the past year, Subrack has significantly expanded its video tools for creators, evolving from a platform primarily dedicated to newsletters. On Wednesday, Subrack announced a new feature aimed at helping publishers grow and promote their livestreams.
Recent updates allow creators to share clips of live video on their notebooks. Substack notifies you of performance in real time. This allows publishers to decide which clips to upload to other platforms, such as YouTube shorts, to reach more viewers. When a creator connects to their YouTube account, the top two clips will be uploaded to the Shorts channel.
This new feature is currently available in the iOS app and will be available on Android next week. Substack utilizes AI to create short highlight clips from video recordings.

Additionally, when users schedule a live stream, Subrack automatically creates promotional assets and shares them on notes, YouTube and other social channels, saving publishers time and effort.
Another convenient but slight addition is the ability to invite guests via email or SMS. This is useful for followers who don't have subsack accounts.
The new update is on the heels of Substack, which introduces audio-only live streams and scrollable video feeds. Substack launched live video capabilities to all publishers earlier this year.
