Supported by Mayo Clinic, Nutrix hardware monitors the stress of workers

Stress is not just bad for you -it is bad for your employer. In consideration of absence, decrease in productivity, sales, medical expenses, and accidents, the non -profit American stress research institute estimates that companies with over $ 300 billion per year are expensive.

One way to measure stress is to monitor the cortisol level. Even the influencer knows this, and the “Cortizol face” is the topic of the trendy Tactoku. However, to approach things scientifically, hormones must be measured throughout the day. Because it is the most important change.

“By the end of the day, we should have the lowest level,” says MARIA HAHN, CEO of Nutrix. Cortisense, a newly announced hardware of her company, has measured cortisol with saliva and recently won the Ces Innovation Award 2025 in the Digital Health category.

It is not more convenient to provide a device instead of going to a clinic to a patient. Heart also told TechCrunch, as he could track the cortisol level immediately after waking up.

Cortisense, developed with the support of the Applied Science University in the northwestern part of Switzerland, is integrated with GSENSE, a Dutrix digital health platform. GSENSE includes digital health platforms, continuous glucose monitoring, dietary management with AI, and remote medicine.

This leads to Nutrix's first focus, diabetes. While the hardware roadmap is pivot for Corticense, the company's eyes are still having chronic diseases. “Cortisol is a hormone that controls many other hormones, so it plays an important role not only for mental health but also for metabolism health,” said entrepreneurs in Switzerland.

This vision helped Nutrix gain support from Swiss Innovation Agency, Innosuisse. The startup has been raised $ 4 million, including the $ 2.5 million Sea Dound, which has not been announced before the co-led Polish impact fund Simpact and Deep Tech Fund Oist-LifeTime Ventures. After meeting the team at CES 2024, I also participated in Mei York Linic.

Startups are trying to raise a large -scale series A -round to provide funds for expansion, but the Sea Dround has already launched Corticense in the United States. With the support of Mei York Linic, an office will be opened in Silicon Valley.

Nutrix is not new to expanding the market. The GSENSE platform is integrated with the public insurance system of Chile, a country that has been supported by the emerging chili of the public program. In 2024, Helsteck Startup in Switzerland started business in Mexico and Peru.

However, Nutrix's new is pushback to models targeting companies, not consumers. It is not very common in countries such as Chile, Mexico, and Peru, but health screening understands that private health data remains private and is an employer who strives for employees' health. It is part of the obligation.

Now the United States is at the top of Nutrix's Cortisense roadmap, so Hahn has to get used to clarifying that the company only gets aggregated data. And the utilitarian pitch over the economic cost of work stress may seem uncomfortable for some people, but it reminds the employer that mental health is actually healthy. It may be useful as a thing.

“It's very important in women's health, especially menopause and menopause, but it's also a very abandoned space from the perspective of research and research,” said Cortizol. She is currently planning to further investigate these bonds using some of the Nutrix funds. “It's very important for me as a woman,” she said.
