Creatopy, a startup that uses AI to automate the creation of digital ads, has brought its new CEO, Tammy Nam.
NAM was previously COO and CMO at photo editing startup PicsArt, and previously CEO of Video Streamer Viki. She told TechCrunch via email that she is looking for a US-based executive who knows how Creatopy scales early-stage startups, and that she understands marketing technology with European founders (the product was first developed in Romania).
“Fortunately, I fit that bill,” she said.
NAM is also participating in the Creatopy Board, but Dan Oros, the startup's former CEO, is in the advisory role.
The startup announced a $10 million Series A last year, led by European VCS 3VC and Point 9. In a statement, 3VC partner Eva Arh described Nam as “one of the best operators I know.”
Between February 2024 and February 2025, the company claims that mid-market and corporate revenues have increased by 400%, much of that growth has come in the past six months. Customers include Astrazeneca, NASCAR and Economists.
“What's surprising about Creatopy is its ability to land customers from major companies in demanding industries such as Pharma and Banking,” says Nam.
She added that customers love products with “intuitive interface, unique product features and excellent customer service.” In fact, she suggested that as large-scale language models become “ubiquitous,” Creatopy differentiates based on its “ability to understand the needs of its customers and, perhaps ironically, provide high-to-five value on top of AI.”
NAM also describes brand safety as a “first priority” and marketing managers upload brand kits during account setup to ensure that all AI-generated ads comply with brand guidelines.
“Our AI is not going to replace strategic thinking. It amplifies it,” she said. “Some customers report a 10-fold increase in productivity, eliminating the boring, manual manual work of generating hundreds of advertising variations across sizes, formats, languages, and more.”
