The backline, a new security startup that automatically restores security vulnerabilities using AI agents, has escaped the stealth in the 9 million dollar seaward led by StageOreS.

This is the third startup by the company's co -founder and CEO Maor Goldberg. He co -founded the WhiteBox Security, which was previously sold to SailPoint in 2015, and the Container Security Startup Apology acquired by SYSDIG in 2021. And Aviad Chen (VP R & D).

The idea behind the backline is that the developers and security teams are OWN in security alat.

“One of the things we have been constantly seen is that we are OWN as a large organization that we have a problem as an industry almost during and during the day,” Goldberg said. Ta. “They buy sysDig, buy with, and buy snails. All of these wonderful companies and wonderful names are to go to customers and tell the problem. These security teams have purchased these tools, but they cannot fix most of these problems. ”

After all, the security team, for example, relys on engineers to fix vulnerabilities, or fixes the platform engineering team.

“The security team always needs to chase someone else in the organization, and all of these teams have no exception and no time,” he said.

The backline can basically receive notifications from all of these security tools and start improving many issues. The service AI agent examines vulnerabilities, creates proposals for modifications, implements the necessary changes, and tests.

This test step is very important, inspired by the backline, how the hardware team uses a formal method to test products. Goldberg said this is the only way to create trust with potential users.

To do this, the company uses a ready -made major language model (LLMS). “All our intellectual property is built around where to pick it up. [the security scanning tools] I stopped. There are high -priority issues that need to be dealt with. lots of [this is about] Goldberg explained, thinking about agents and thinking about how to cooperate and how to bring the right person into the process. “

The ambition of the backline is beyond the current restoration of software vulnerabilities. In the future, the company wants to work on software supply chains, such as finding exposed secrets, fixing identity and access issues, and static application security tests.

“The security backlog is now the best thing to maintain Cisos at night,” said Tal Slobodkin, a manager of Stageone Ventures and a prior startup supporter of the established team. 。 “Combine the backline deep -cyber security expertise and a vision of autonomous restoration to present a way to get out of the priority in paradigm through improvement of several digits of repair speed. We are fully fully in the security backlog. This is not the case with a single organization that is controlled. “

Evolution Equity Partners and Gradient have also invested in the Sea Dround.
