Norway -based browser maker opera launched a new browser called Opera Air on Tuesday. It focuses on mental happiness and mindfulness with functions such as blake reminders, respiratory exercises, soundscape, and binaural beats.

The company stated that people used browsers for many tasks online and wanted to ship browsers, not only utility tools, but also stress and focus management systems.

Opera has selected a new lightweight design language with a translucent theme.

In the floating sidebar, the company boosted the function of regenerating a combination of a brake reminder tool, music, ambient sound, and binaural beat, and posted a shortcut of the company's ARIA AI Assistant, Messenger, and Whatsapp.

The “TAKE A BREAK” function functions like a battery indicator via three bars, and it becomes gray when the browser is used for a long time. You can define continuous use time. After that, the indicator level is deleted and signal to take a break. You can also completely turn off this indicator system.

For a break, the company designed different respiratory exercises, neck stretching, meditation, or whole body scan. These activities can be performed according to the length of the break you want to shoot and the activity mode you want to choose.

You can turn on the camera for stretching your neck. This allows the browser to be able to guide the posture and form while exercising.

Currently, Opear Air has only an exercise with these breaks in English. However, we are also working on narration in other languages.

Other mindfulness functions called Boosts have already been combined with music, ambient sounds, and binaural beats. Mohamedosala, the company's product director, plays a slight different frequency with each ear, and in fact creates a new “ghost” frequency effect on the brain, so it helps to improve focusing, so it is a soundscape. He said he chose to include binaural beats.

You can change the volume of music, ambient sound, binaural beat frequency, and volume of each truck. Users can also choose the time you want to play a boost from 15 minutes to Infinity. You can always play or pause the boost from the sidebar.

When TechCrunch asked Opera why he built another browser instead of baking these tools in an existing browser, Salah said he wanted to burn the concept of mindfulness of another product.

“Opera One is an excellent browser for functionality such as split screens and tab islands, but what we want in Opera Air is a mindfulness tool and minimal design. Sarah says, convey the concept of Furnes. “

He also stated that there are various apps for Break reminders and soundscape on Mac and mobile, but they want to provide all -in -mind fullness packages on their desktops.

The challenge of opera is to use this version for mindfulness browsing. Opera one browser and the game -oriented Opera GX browser have built a function suite that people are used to, and the transition to a minimimal browser may not be easy.
