The report says that 85 % of Chatgpt's mobile users are men

At least for consumer spending to the AI app, the AI bubble has not burst yet.

Overall spending on the AI app, led by Openai's Chatgpt, jumped to $ 1.42 billion in 2024 in 2024. This has increased by 274 % since 2023 (application laid in May of that year). In tens of thousands of competitors (licensed Openai's unique technology), ChatGPT is very dominant, so it has gained more consistent than other top AI assistant apps.

The success of these apps is also the benefits of Apple and Google, and keeps about 30 % of the income from in -app purchases. Overall, according to AppFigures, the mobile AI app configures $ 2 billion.

Chatgpt has been downloaded 353 million times so far, but the population statistics using apps have been distorted. More than half of Chatgpt's mobile users are under 25, probably indicating that they are open by experimenting new technologies (or these users are only seeking help of homework. 2023. I used Chatgpt for doubling from a year).

However, users between the ages of 50 and 64 have the second largest age group at 20.2 % of users.

Gender difference between Chatgpt users is even more important. Appfigures estimates that men account for 84.5 % of all users over the age group.

Women play a remarkable role in the AI industry, but the 2022 Pew Report indicates that women tend to be more skeptical about AI than men. AXIOS opinion polls showed that 53 % of the women in the survey would not allow children to use AI at all, in contrast to 26 % of men. McKinsey, on the other hand, estimates that women are more likely to lose their jobs than men's counter parts, and are more likely to promote further resistance.

Women may not be very enthusiastic about the large amount of consumer AI products, as they are particularly vulnerable to the most ominous effects of this technology, like a sexually explicit deep fake image.

Chatgpt has a firm share of the AI app spending lion, but when Deepseek comes to the market as an alternative to open source free, the Openai app may see a slight headwind. Deepseek has already abducted Openai as a top app for the App Store, but maintaining the current level of hype may be a challenge for the Chinese AI app.
