Tiktok adds new features to the app, allowing songwriters to highlight their work. These features are rolled out in beta, and include the “Songwriter” label and a new tab that lets you show off your music.
The company said a limited number of publishing partners and songwriters will have access to the new label and music highlights section. Anyone who wants to participate in the program must join the waitlist.
Tiktok said he researched over 870 songwriters and interviewed several to understand their needs in relation to building profiles and creating monetization opportunities. The company also pointed to an independent investigation. This pointed to an independent research that encourages you to do it using Tiktok, which uses social media to promote profiles. The app owned by Byted said the results of these studies have facilitated the decision to build these features.

“Tiktok is unique in its ability to provide songwriters with ways to highlight musical pieces along with their content, telling stories about music, technology and life, and helping them develop their viewers in Tiktok.
Tiktok is participating in streaming services like Spotify. This has made songwriters highlight their work for years. Last year, Tidal launched a tool that allows musicians to track royalties and manage works with songwriting credits.
Tiktok last year decided to close Tiktok Music, a music streaming service, but the platform remains important for users to discover new music and artists to promote their tracks. Earlier this year, the company released Tiktok, a tool for artists that allows artists to monitor campaigns and track performance.
