President Donald Trump has said his administration is in talks with four different groups on the sale of Tiktok, Reuters reported.
Trump told reporters on Sunday that he “can do that.” He said, “We deal with four different groups and a lot of people want it… All four are good.”
The fate of the app owned by Batedo has been uncertain since Trump signed an executive order in January to extend the deadline for the ban on Tiktok 75 days ago.
There are several potential buyers, including a bid led by billionaire Frank McCourt, who is supported by Reddit co-founders Alexis Ohanian and Kevin O'Leary.
Other stakeholders interested in purchasing Tiktok include a group of investors led by high-tech entrepreneur Jesse Tinsley. Other potential buyers include Microsoft, Oracle, Perplexity AI, and former Activision CEO Bobby Kotick.
