Twitch will officially roll out a new TikTok-like discovery feed to all users this week, the company announced Tuesday. The new feed launches as a tab within the Twitch iOS and Android apps, allowing viewers to scroll through bite-sized content and discover new streamers. The official launch follows an initial test of Twitch's feed that began in August 2023.
With this release, Twitch joins a number of other popular apps (including Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, Uber Eats, and LinkedIn, to name a few) that have launched their own short-form video feeds in response to TikTok's growing popularity. It will be.
Discovery Feed is finally here! The easiest way to find the content you love on Twitch. Preview thousands of live streams and clips without pre-roll ads and find what you want to watch in minutes.

There are two tabs within the feed: Live Feed and Clip Feed. The “Live” feed shows live streams from both streamers you already follow and streamers that Twitch thinks you might like. The Clips feed features streamers' top moments across Twitch, allowing viewers to discover streamers' content even when they're not live.
People usually visit Twitch when they have enough time to watch a live stream, but the new clip feed is designed for those moments when users only have a few minutes to spare.
To better customize what you see in your feed, let us know what type of content you want to see more or less by clicking the Like or Dislike buttons on a live stream or clip. I can.
The new feed comes as Twitch streamers have been asking the company for years to introduce new features to help them reach new audiences. Because Twitch is not a fully algorithmic platform like TikTok, Twitch streamers have no other ways to attract new viewers other than promoting themselves on other platforms or teaming up with fellow streamers. There wasn't much. This new discovery feed could help small and medium-sized streamers reach new audiences.
Twitch says all live streams and clips will automatically appear in your feed if they meet the platform's content guidelines. Although streamers cannot directly upload content to the Discovery feed, Twitch encourages them to create and feature clips of their content for a chance to be included in the feed.
