The AI craze is here to stay, whether you like it or feel it's more hype than substance. That means a lot of companies have a lot of funding, a lot of regulatory concerns, a lot of academic work, a lot of corporate work. For startups, this means a huge opportunity to introduce new technologies into many industries that can be polished a bit.
But if you read the news, you might notice that men are the most mentioned and discussed people in the field of AI today. So TechCrunch's Dominic-Madri Davis and Kyle Wiggers sat down with some women working in AI to learn more about their work, how they got into the field, and more. This series has been going on for a while, so it was the perfect time to have the two on her Equity podcast to talk about the project.
So far, they've interviewed Eileen Solaiman, head of global policy at Hugging Face, Sarah Kreps, a government professor at Cornell University, and Heidi Clough, director of safety engineering at Trail of Bits.
In addition to our regular show, which airs on Mondays (weekly kickoff show), Wednesdays (startup-focused news roundup), and Fridays (roundtable discussions on the biggest stories), Equity staff frequently conduct interviews. Don't forget that you are doing from that week). See you bright and early Monday morning for more!
