Apple Intelligence, the iPhone manufacturer's suite of AI-powered tools and features, has gained new features. Most notably, the company announced on Monday that priority notifications will be available to Apple device owners. This will allow Apple's AI to highlight the most time-sensitive notifications in a new format. Other updates will arrive on the Image Playground app and on the Mac. Additionally, Apple Intelligence is now available for iPhone and iPad users in the EU, as well as for Apple Vision Pro headsets in US English.
With the releases of Apple Software, iOS 18.4, iPados 18.4, and Macos Sequoia 15.4, changes have been unfolded.
Apple says that AI features are also available in many newer languages, including French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese (simplified). Localized English has also been added to both Singapore and India.
Apple Intelligence was introduced last year at the company's Worldwide Developers Conference as a new generation AI offering, but Apple is not ready to release all AI-powered features at once. This has slowly and steadily rolled out numerous AI updates since the release of iOS 18.1, when Apple Intelligence was first released. For example, features like ChatGpt Integration, Image Playground, and others did not arrive in iOS 18.2 (and iPads 18.2, Macos Sequoia 15.2) after a few months.

Among the new additions coming on Monday, priority notifications may be most useful if implemented successfully. Now, instead of all notifications having to dig into important updates, you often see what is worthy of – including non-essential updates and other marketing messages from the app – what's worth watching at the top of the stack.
Other Apple Intelligence improvements that arrived today include the ability to create a “memory movie” on your Mac by entering a description, as well as the additional sketch styles for creating academic and detailed sketches, including Apple's AI image generation app, Image Playground.
Apple previously announced that the AI suite would arrive in the EU in April 2025. This is a delay that denies EU technology regulations, such as the Digital Markets Act.
Meanwhile, Vision Pro users can use AI features such as writing tools, Image Playground, and Genmoji.
The update includes several new emojis, including paint splatters, faces with bags under the eyes, fingerprints, root vegetables, and shovels.
Recently announced recipe companion Apple News+ Food arrived Monday along with new child safety features and other adjustments to the Revamped Apple Photos app and other Apple services.
