Elon Musk's AI company xAI is testing a standalone iOS app for the chatbot Grok, which was previously only available to X users.
The app is currently live in multiple countries including the US, Australia, and India, has access to real-time data from the web and X, and offers generative AI features like text rewriting, long paragraph summaries, and quick Q&A. I will. You can also generate images from text prompts.
“Grok is an AI-powered assistant designed for maximum authenticity, usefulness, and curiosity. Get answers to all your questions, create impressive images, upload photos, and more. and gain a deeper understanding of your world,” the listing reads.
xAI is also preparing a dedicated site, Grok.com, to make chatbots accessible on the web. Currently, when you log in with your xAI account, the site says “Coming Soon.”
Until recently, Grok was only available to paid subscribers of X. The company began testing a free version of the chatbot in November and rolled it out to all users earlier this month.
The company says its chatbot's image generation model excels at “photorealistic rendering,” and there are no major limitations applied to its image generation capabilities, allowing users to access photos of celebrities and copyright-protected images. It is said that images can be created using the same materials.
Story has been updated to reflect that the Grok app has been released in beta in multiple countries.
