Recruiting platform ZipRecruiter is releasing a new tool called ZipIntro, which allows employers to schedule introductory calls with potential candidates at a specified time. The tool also helps recruiters suggest potential candidates using AI.
Employers can enter information about the job and select a date and time for an introductory call. ZipIntro then uses AI to match potential candidates and send out call invitations. The tool takes into account the type of employment, education, skills, qualifications, interests and work the user is looking for when making a match.

Employers can review responses from candidates, further screen candidates, and arrange back-to-back calls. ZipRecruiter then enables employers to connect with candidates through one-on-one video calls on the platform.
According to the company, these introductory sessions typically last between 30 minutes and an hour, with each introductory call lasting about five minutes. While these are initial screening calls, the company notes that some organizations also use the tool to recruit for high-volume positions that may require fewer interview stages.

ZipRecruiter says that with ZipIntro, employers can receive the first response from candidates within 20 minutes of posting a job requirement.
“ZipIntro allows recruiters and hiring managers to make key connections faster to assess each candidate's true potential,” Megan Allen, SVP of product at ZipRecruiter, said in a statement. “We're excited to give job seekers the opportunity to speak to employers sooner and showcase their true personality, soft skills and passions.”
The company isn't the only platform using AI to make the hiring process easier: Indeed also uses AI to help people write their work experience, and Microsoft-owned LinkedIn is also deploying AI tools to help recruiters write better job descriptions.
